You will begin by taking a Challenge Exam/Assessment. This will show you all that you will learn in the Level 1 Course. If you get 100% on the assessment you will ‘CLEP’ or test out of the Level 1 Course and move on to the Level 2 Course. If you don’t get 100% you can either proceed with taking the Level 1 Course or, if you only missed a few questions, your teacher can help you fill in any gaps in learning.
The last question in the exam will ask for your SASR score. If you have played piano before, take the SASR in Piano Marvel to figure out your score. If you have not played the piano before just mark ‘no’.
